Google Trends Data

I don’t know how much I trust the website trends data Google gives. You may need a Google account to view this.

This is how many people are searching on “apple.com”. I consider this a reasonable gauge for how many people are visiting the website as many browsers pop up a search engine in a new window and it is just as easy to search on the website name than click in the URL field (easier, actually):

This is the traffic data google has for apple.com. Look at how different they are.

I’d be more likely to trust the first one more because it just makes more sense (with spikes near the holidays) even though it technically should be the least accurate of the two.
