Step by step to using Multiple Inboxes in Gmail:
- Click on “Settings” in upper right of the string.
- Click on the “Labs” tab.
- Scroll down to “Multiple Inboxes” and activate.
- Scroll to bottom of page and click “Save Changes”
- Click back on “Settings”
- Click on the new “Multiple Inboxes” tab.
- Select the “Above the inbox” radio button.
- Click “Save Changes”
- Done!
I use stars as a way of denoting emails I need to act on (Bills, must-responds, etc.). Multiple Inboxes is like an automatic “To Do” list.
