Some possible song ideas while I wait (almost six a.m. now) to feel the need to sleep:
- Get away from me, crazy owner woman (a cat’s tale)
- Laughing in your sleep
- the first day of snakes
- spitting blood
All those phrases waltzed into my head while lying as still as possible. Yesterday was the first day of snakes, by the way. I knew it would be. There they were in all their usual hiding places, curled up on exposed roots.
I thought that maybe if I write a really sleepy sounding song then it will make me sleepy. Not true, but I did end up making something like what you would find at one of those Target listening booths titled something like “Sounds of Slumber”.
